Journal of Bale Pengabdian: Journal of Community Services (BPJCS) adheres to a Double-Blind Review process that is rapid, fair, and ensures high-quality published articles. In this system, both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Author anonymity helps prevent reviewer bias, for example based on the author's country of origin or previous work. Manuscripts submitted by well-known authors are evaluated solely on the content of their work, not their reputation. This policy follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Code of Conduct and Best Practice and the Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process. If a manuscript is deemed suitable after the editor’s initial screening, it will be sent to reviewers. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two (2) experts using the Double-Blind Review system. The review process typically takes 2–4 months. Manuscripts requiring minor or major revisions must be revised according to the reviewers’ comments and suggestions.
Reviewers will provide recommendations to the editor with one of the following decisions:- Accept Submission
- Revisions Required
- Resubmit for Review
- Resubmit Elsewhere
- Decline Submission
The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection is made by the Editors based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations. If necessary, the editor may assign the manuscript to additional reviewers for a second round of evaluation.
The publication of accepted manuscripts, including their order, is determined by the Editor-in-Chief, considering the acceptance date, geographical distribution of authors, and thematic relevance. The overall publication process typically takes between 7 months to 1 year, with an average of 6 months.
